Margaret Carlson exudes a combination of energy and passion that serves her well in life and career. A lifelong "people person", Margaret first became interested in real estate 24 years ago because of the service-oriented nature that the sales industry (particularly real estate) offered. Her engaging personality, accommodating client approach and positive drive quickly earned her a spot amid Chicago's top real estate professions. In addition to receiving many awards from the Chicago Association of Realtors®, Margaret remains in the top 1% of Chicagoland sales. Her individual luxury sales volume exceeds $80 million. She has been recognized as one of the top 25 Luxury Real Estate Brokers in the City of Chicago by The Merchandise Mart and Luxehome, a designation only awarded to 25 agents selling luxury properties. Margaret attributes her success to her positive attitude, her extreme attention to detail and her overall ability to keenly intuit her clients' needs. Patient yet persistent, she is willing to go the length to ensure her clients' happiness.
Margaret holds a Bachelor of Science from Purdue University and taught in the Chicago Public School System. Born and raised in Chicago, she possesses a love for everything about the city and its distinctive neighborhoods. Though she finds herself primarily working around the Gold Coast and the Near North, she has sold property throughout Chicagoland and doesn't restrict her business to any specific neighborhood, ensuring her client base remains as diverse an array of people as there are Chicago neighborhoods.
“[In a home] You’re making an investment in what could be the most important asset you’ll ever have. The right moment is when you know where you’re going to live for a while, when you find the home that fits your family, and when it’s at level that fits in with your income and ability to make a down payment and then I would get a very long mortgage… 30-year mortgage and the rate will be fabulous, and there is no sense waiting if those conditions exist."
